Engineering Department Drive will be partially closed to pedestrians and vehicles on Monday, October 14, from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. to allow the workers to safely pump concrete into the Benedum Hall sub-basement. The closure will begin at the intersection with Thackeray Avenue and continue through to the loading dock. The loading dock will remain accessible via Bouquet Street. There are several parking spaces that will not be available at this time. Detours and signs will be posted.

O’Hara Street will be closed between North Bouquet Street and Thackeray Avenue from 7 a.m. to approximately 3 p.m. on Thursday, June 12. The sidewalk along Benedum Hall will remain open; pedestrians should not experience any changes to existing conditions. Cyclists are reminded to dismount from their bicycle or scooter when on the sidewalk.

The section of the Lothrop Street western sidewalk between the UPMC Presbyterian garage “C” entrance and Terrace Street will be closed daily from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. beginning Monday, May 26 and continuing through Monday, July 28.
Construction Alert: Partial Closure of North Bouquet Street on Tuesday, May 20 from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m.
North Bouquet Street between O’Hara Street and Engineering Department Drive will be fully closed from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. tomorrow, Tuesday, May 20. This closure includes the street, sidewalk, and parking spaces. The PG Garage entrance on N Bouquet close to O’Hara Street will be closed during this time. The entrances along De Soto and O’Hara Streets remain open and should be used for access.
Construction Alert: Sidewalk Work on De Soto Street by Alan Magee Scaife Hall Entrance to Occur on Monday, May 12
The western sidewalk of De Soto Street just outside of the entrance to Alan Magee Scaife Hall will be impacted by construction work on Monday, May 12. The sidewalk will not be completely closed, but a portion will be blocked off. Pedestrians will still be able to pass through and should stay aware of the cones, caution tape, etc. that will denote the impacted area. The entrance to Alan Magee Scaife Hall will still be accessible as well.
Construction Alert: Forbes Avenue to Partially Close Between Meyran Avenue and Atwood Street from 6 a.m. – 6 p.m. on Saturday, May 3
Forbes Avenue will be reduced to a single lane between Meyran Avenue and Atwood Street from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, May 3. This includes the sidewalk in front of the Loeffler Building and Hello Bistro. The rightmost lane and southern sidewalk of Forbes Avenue will remain open.
The sidewalk in front of Hello Bistro will reopen earlier in the day to allow access to the restaurant, but the Loeffler Building sidewalk will remain closed for the duration.
Construction Alert: Temporary closures on O’Hara Street to begin at 6 a.m. on Monday, May 5
On Monday, May 5, O’Hara Street is scheduled for several closures:
The road will be fully closed between North Bouquet Street and Thackeray Avenue beginning at 6 a.m. with completion expected by noon. Flaggers will be present to assist with traffic management.
Construction Alert: De Soto and Terrace Street Closure on Saturday, April 26
Both lanes of De Soto Street and a majority of the western sidewalk (UPMC Presbyterian side) will be closed from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, April 26. This is in addition to the existing closure at the UPMC site. Terrace Street will also be closed beginning at Sutherland Drive.
Construction Alert: De Soto Street Lane Closure Between Terrace and O’Hara Streets on Saturday, April 12
The south bound lane and sidewalk of De Soto Street (closest to UPMC Presbyterian) will be closed between Terrace and O’Hara Streets from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, April 12. The north bound lane and sidewalk (closest to UPMC Western Psychiatric) will remain open.
The entrances to UPMC Presbyterian and Alan Magee Scaife Hall that are within the boundaries of this closure will not be accessible at this time. The loading dock for Alan Magee Scaife Hall will also be unavailable.
