Construction Alert: Partial Closure of North Bouquet Street on Thursday, July 10 from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.

North Bouquet Street will be partially closed from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Thursday, July 10. The closure will occur between the O’Hara Street and Engineering Department Drive intersections and includes the road, sidewalk, and parking spaces.

Due to the location of the closure, the middle floor of the PG garage will not be accessible. Entrances along De Soto and O’Hara Streets will be available, maintaining access to the top and bottom floors. The Soldiers and Sailors garage is recommended if additional parking spaces are needed.

Pedestrians can avoid this closure by using De Soto Street or Thackeray Avenue.

Please note that O’Hara Street is also closed between North Bouquet Street and Thackeray Avenue. Additionally, the south bound lane of De Soto Street is closed from O’Hara Street to Fifth Avenue. Flaggers and signage will be in place throughout the closure area to assist with traffic flow, including in front of the Petersen Events Center on Terrace Street, as drivers on Terrace desiring Fifth Avenue must travel south on Lothrop Street (or a street west of Lothrop). Those looking to park at Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic or the PG Garage may continue past Lothrop and through traffic will be directed by flaggers to the appropriate detour.

Recommended Detours

Traveling south or east via Terrace Street: Turn onto Lothrop Street, then turn onto Fifth or Forbes Avenue.

Traveling west or north via O’Hara Street: Turn left onto University Place, then turn right onto Fifth Avenue.
