O’Hara Street will be closed between North Bouquet Street and Thackeray Avenue from 7 a.m. to approximately 3 p.m. on Wednesday, May 28. The sidewalk along Benedum Hall will remain open, so pedestrians should not experience any changes to existing conditions. Cyclists should remember to dismount from their bicycle or scooter and walk on the sidewalk.
Signage will be placed throughout the area to alert motorists to the closure and direct them through detours. These detours include:
Traveling west on O’Hara Street: Turn left down Thackeray Avenue, then turn right onto Fifth Avenue. Engineering Department Drive will remain open if you need to access North Bouquet Street.
Traveling east on O’Hara Street: Turn right down North Bouquet Street, then turn left onto Forbes Avenue.
