Next steps

After the FM Work Request form is submitted, you will receive two separate emails at the email address that you provided. The second email will include the official job number, which usually starts with a “C” (Example: CPJ11). Please forward a copy of the second email to the Environmental Graphic Designer in the Office of Planning, Design & Construction. Once the Environmental Graphic Designer receives the job number, they will reach out to you to begin the project.

Signage Process

  1. The Environmental Graphic Designer will contact and meet with the client as necessary to assess the request and establish the appropriate solution for the signage or environmental graphics need(s).
  2. If an appropriate standard sign type is available, an applicable sign will be chosen, designs will be developed and reviewed with the client, then a price quote will be requested from the preferred signage vendor.
  3. If an appropriate sign is not available in the standard signage library, system appropriate designs and documentation will be developed with the client, then a price quote will be requested from the vendor.
  4. Once the price quote is received from the vendor, it will be sent back to the customer for review and approval.
  5. Upon customer approval, a purchase order (PO) will be requested for the sign. Once the PO has been released to the vendor, they will create shop drawings for approval. Once approved, production of the requested signage will begin.
  6. Installation will be coordinated with the contracted signage installer. The client will be involved in selecting a date and time.
